The only reason why you should listen to me

Hello there,

Learning how to train, eat, and live to be lean was never something I picked up growing up, and it turned out to be a major challenge when it came to knowing what diet to follow, how to train and what supplements to take.

After several bad experiences with the gym, I began experimenting with diets. Unfortunately, it didn't go well. In 2008, I went from 80 kg to 108 kg.

Eventually, I studied abroad in the US and learned everything at one of the pinnacles of health and bodybuilding. Later that year, I experienced the consequences of going “all out” with my fitness journey and developed an eating disorder. Sadly, it led to me becoming infertile; the endocrinologist told me pretty clearly that I'd never be able to have kids.

Of course, you wouldn't know any of that if you just saw the Diego of today. People glance at my profile on LinkedIn and assume I've always been in great shape and gifted with out-of-this-world genetics.

But it took me years of battling through all sorts of health challenges, including hypogonadism (low testosterone), chronic anxiety, ADHD, and depression. Enduring such pain is incredibly powerful. It grants you the ability to relate to what others might be going through. That’s why I think it is worth listening to me.

The process of getting lean and healthy itself is faster and easier. You never have to worry about spending hours at the gym or starving yourself. However, mastering the 20% of habits that truly matter requires a significant amount of time, patience, and even pain—a luxury few of us can afford in today's busy world.
